		<description><![CDATA[Brian,  I just discovered your blog.  It is delightful!  

Re this reference question: I think you can learn a lot about the town by reading the old town meeting minutes.  Several years ago I was looking for one thing and then ended up spending the afternoon reading minutes from the mid to late 19th century, discovering along the way that nothing has changed.  They were arguing about: traffic, road repair, taxes, and with the advent of electricity, light poles!
