Brian, we've just implemented an OD download station at our library and I'm curious - do you have yours setup so that patrons have to provide their own USB cable(s) rather than providing them yourself? We originally wanted to provide them but the more we researched the more it became a can of worms (cables) and now we're reconsidering that approach.

You're right about the Console download being difficult to find - the first time I tried it, someone had to show me I was doing it wrong. I don't see why it can't just be an easy direct link from within the library's Overdrive catalog.

Overdrive venting:

1 - It is NOT user friendly. Pretend you are not computer savvy and try to figure out how to download the console.

2 - Our overdrive site separates young adult titles from kid's titles. This is actually a great feature, except for the fact that whoever is separating them is a complete moron. "Looking for Alaska" is in Kids, while "The Secret Garden" is in Young Adult - Arrrrgh*
3 - Our collection sucks.

*yes, I did ask if it could be changed. answer from overdrive = NO
