This Post Is Just Six Words Long
September 10th, 2009This has nothing to do with anything, but length of the domain name on this postcard made me laugh:
It's no fault of theirs, really - just bad luck on the name of their organization. And actually, it's probably more memorable and less confusing that MARILFN.org or MANDRILN.org or any other variant.
And In case you're interested on this Thursday, here are a couple other long-URL related links to enjoy:

They did okay using an acronym for their e-mail address. That is, unless “mariln” isn’t someone’s name.
Having such a long URL really is kind of ridiculous. When people ask for their web address do they really have to say the whole thing? Plus, it’s got to take at least a few hours to write down.

This is absolutely their fault. They maybe can’t change the name of the org, but they can have the domain be whatever they want. I will bey you a dollar they get a shorter URL before the end of the year. MARILeague.com is available.

@jessamyn: I know you well enough to know the safe bet is not to bet against you.
And in other name-related news, the Wisconsin Tourism Federation changed their name.
