Google is not The Way to Salvation

   June 24th, 2010

I passed this church sign while walking around Ottawa:

Google Church Sign

I'm used to hearing the "Google is not as good as libraries" rhetoric, so it was funny to see another profession facing the same struggle. By the way, Bibles in my library are shelved at 220.5/Bibl - maybe our slogan should be, "find a library, find your way."

    Psh, don’t these people know that the entire Bible is on google?
    😉

    @Amanda: Good point.

    What were you doing wandering our fair capital? And why didn’t you go next week when the big party is on? I’d also like to know what’s so funny about a skip of beer on the sidewalk in Hull?

  4. Brian Herzog Says:

    @Winnie: I was in Ottawa because a friend of mine was interviewing with the VSO, and I never miss a chance to go to Canada (plus I’d never been to Ottawa – photos coming soon). The beer was funny because it was Coors rather than Elsinore, of course.

    That same comment was on a church on the near east side of Cleveland just the other night. I think there must be an e-newsletter or mini-book published by someone who sends these little quips out to churches.

    @debzanne: (hi, dude!) amazing – I have suspected that very thing since I was a little kid. That’s why I bought Church Signs Across America for the library – there has just got to be some kind of underground newsletter that lets churches share sign ideas.
