I sort of doubt that Google is going to go belly up or discontinue Google Calendar anytime soon, but if they did, my library system would have to come up with an alternative for our calendars -- and so it seems to me that another lesson is that you always have to be ready to look for alternatives, and figure out how to use them.]]></description>

I was disappointed when they announced it wasn&#039;t continuing, as I&#039;d been using it for about 8 years (8 years! that can&#039;t be right). So I felt like I&#039;d stuck with it through thick and thin - and there was a lot of thin in the last year or so. I moved to Google Reader and it took a bit of getting used to just because it was different, but now I won&#039;t go back to Bloglines. Just like an ex-boyfriend or a broken/spent firework - never go back! There&#039;s a good reason you left it!]]></description>
