@Amac: Thank you very much. I'm sorry about your snags in CT - I had heard a big group in CT was migrating the same time as us, but I didn't hear about the glitches. We had some too, but mostly were just painful, not fatal. I'll be keeping tabs on the process, but our Day 1 was a pretty rough day (which is probably to be expected).

@Adam: That is weird to go with a hybrid system. It's nice to have the support of a vendor, but the KSU IT guys were always great, so I'm sure they could handle it. I haven't heard of anyone moving to Sierra yet, so I'll be curious to hear how it goes. Good luck.

Congratulations on the migration. Our own people at Kent have been so excited about migrating over to a new system. I got really excited when our head tech guy said it was based on some open source system. I should have known better. The ILS we're going to isn't open source, it's just the new version of iii called Sierra. So, it's based on open source, and we can change some things if we want, BUT we get to pay for it. Yay!... wait.

Good luck with the system! Can't wait to see more posts about it.

Nice post and I look forward to your future posts on Evergreen. We migrated over the weekend in CT and unfortunately the migration hit a snag. No catalog since Thursday night! Our back room is back logged with returns :0)
Love the Blog!
